You may notice the Bobby Character in the Characters Library. Bobby started out as CraZY bOB modeled by a Beta Tester1 for testing Character Editing. He soon was modified with the addition of hair, clothes and shoes by another Beta Tester2 and named Bob. Sometime after that he was rigged and all joints, bones, and handles were named for easy identification while using the Animation Editor and then called Bobby by another Beta Tester3.
I want to share with you a few things that you might like to try.
With the Link Editor opened, load by double clicking Bobby in the Characters Library and then select the Bobby panel in the Link Editor. Select the Align IK handle tool from toolbar. Now select the red ring above his head and it should highlight. In the Stack on right open the Panels aspect. You should see the Character Posing panel and the IK handle Head panel which is the handle you just selected. Add a Check mark to Use global locks. Do the same for the red ring on both hands. Now select the Reset Pose tool so that he resets to his default pose just in case you moved him. I would suggest that you save him at this point. Your choice to over write or save to different version.
Now select the Dynamic Pose tool and then select the Purple "Full Lock" cube in the middle of his chest with that it should be highlighted green showing that it is active. Do the same for both forearms.
Now with the Left mouse button over the red ring on his head click and drag up and down. Now do the same with the right mouse button dragging left and right. Keep the mouse icon over the ring at all times or it will lose focus. If you get all out of whack just select the Reset Pose tool again. Try left and right mouse button drag on hip and feet handles
These handles are just helpers to help pose your characters. You can also select any part of Bobby and drag to pose as well as joints and bones.
Next you can try and set Keyframes using the Dynamic Pose tool in the Animation Editor. Hopefully this will give you some basic information to get you started. You have learned a few tools and you now know when you select different parts of this character that its panel opens for adjustments in the Stack/Panels aspect. You could also select the Hair Panel button which will open up the Hair panel in the Stack/Panels and inside the Bobby panel. Where you can make adjustments to his hair. To get back to the top level click on the Orange triangle within the Link Editor's title bar twice.
