hi, just got 7.5 with vray...
a little overwhelmed at the moment, not used to all hte icons (widgets) and what they all do... but given time...
looks a great app...
a little question tho.. how do i find hte file...new scene drop down menu...
it was there, but as i tried different layouts... its gone, the manual mentions it but not how to get it back or place it on the screen anywhere..
sorry for the dumb question, but i really cant find it...

It should be in the title bar on the Model side.
If not select another layout from the Tabs up top and then go back to the layout you were in.
If that does not work then on the Workspace side select the Reset to Default context. |

thanks blue for the reply,
ive reset to default, but still no file menu...
even using other layouts tabs, no joy.... its gone...
any more ideas...:jumpy:
edit: seems to be on hte model side of things now....

The file menu is the legacy way of loading files and scenes and as far as I know doesn't store the 7.x file info.
If you want save scripts and maintain your link editor stuff and your 7.5 settings, you need to use the new file system which is handled through the library panel on the right hand side. It's drag and drop. Also right clicking on items will bring up options. To move things from the Link Editor (2D tab) you need to CTRL-click on the title bar of the object and drag it into the library of your choice. To add an object or your scene to the library, select the object, right click in an empty space in the library window, and choose one of the insert options.

You click the "Generate New Space" icon on the middle bottom toolbar.
