The tutorial for this did not make it into the manual for the first release. Naturally it is an item that will be added during the manual's ongoing updates.
At the moment I can't give any tips on this area, never having looked into it myself - there are others though who I am sure will be able to help :)
Thanks!

The Michael Jackson moonwalk is one of Mr Bones' animation collections - he is also very good at the whole BVH import and use, so if he gets a chance he will be able to help.
BTW yes you should be able to load BVH clips and apply them to any character rigged with the appropriate skeleton, allowing you to reuse the same BVH motion on multiple characters.
(you can also do that with keyframed clips you made yourself, copy and paste between characters, saving them to library for reuse; and clips captured via physics simulation)
I can't give any specifics on the BVH process at the moment though, but I know it can be done :)
Thanks!

Try the Dexter Zye character. It has something todo with the naming of Bones and Joints. I beleive that names of the bones are correct with this character to be compatible with Mr.Bones BVH files. |

Okay I am still learning here, but this is what I did and it may not be the correct way or there is an easier way.
Import Dexter and one of the BVH from say MikeMoves into the Link Editor.
Go inside the BVH Skeleton and select the AnimClip and Insert As to Library as RsClip.
Now delete BVH Skeleton from LE.
Go inside Dexter and then inside Skeleton and find AnimClip node.
Drag and Drop your saved AnimClip from above here.
Now select and drag the Link/Wire from the existing AnimClip/AnimTrack to the new AnimClip,1/AnimTrack.
Delete the old one.
Go back to the top level and select the Dexter node.
Go to 4D Animation View and select the Play button. |

Yes, The dexterZye Rigg is compatible to recieve Michael Jackson BVH motion.
So you can just load any of the Michael JacksOn Moves, and Copy and Paste the clip to the Dexter Zye Character in AE without reRigging Dexter.
I will try to make a tutorial soon.

A whole lot easer than that.
Try this,
Load MJ move as BVH into workspace. In story of AE select skeleton, select Clip. Add to library as an anim clip .RsClip
Dlelete skeleton in Ae (old .bvh)
Now load Dexter, Delete his clip in AE, or just move it over...
Now with skeleton selected in AE just click the saved anim clip in your library.
That will apply the saved anim clip motion to Dexters skeleton.
Like I said a whole lot easier :o |

Not if you use one of the truebones BVH skeletons to Rigg TankGirl With.
All trueBones skeletons are created the same. So riGG once, then you can apply trueBones BVH motions all the time.
