I've had a 'Syntax Error' thrown and 7.5 crashes after showing windows we should never see (D3D surfaces) so something for the first Service Pack but leaving that aside- early days and very promising

Deleting objects is very difficult in the Workspace and a newly created object is impossible to select without first selecting an object already in the scene

Show stopper tonight is being unable to simply move an object in the Workspace although switching to Model window I can move the same object around - only X and Y nothing complicated. Bridge tried toggled On and Auto it doesn't seem to be a bridge thing and in Workspace the object should have freedom to be moved around nothing locked that I can see

I see a 'Layer Index' parameter under Object Render Attributes/Advanced... wondering if Layers are in fact in 7.5? Didn't appear to work as the usual Layer function

Thanks for any thoughts, nightmare finding I can't simply move an object in the Workspace window please let it be gone when I try again tomorow :)

Generally feeling good about 7.5 and I know that SP1 is on the way, sorry for basic questions! (I mean there will be loads more, this is an overall apology disclaimer) :)

Thank goodness for prayer, moving the object is working ok now on loading the scene in today. I set up a Profile in the NV panel beforehand just in case with most options set to 'Allow programs to decide on settings' and 'SLI single GPU mode' just in case

When I create the plank of wood that I'm using to create the wooden floor of the dispersal hut I'd like to texture it with one of Mayang's hi-res textures - a simple 13cm wide plank. When I try to line up the texture in 7.5 UV Editor instead of a simple rectangle that I can open up to texture the top of the plank I get lots of lines crossing over each other like a spider's web. Shouldn't a whole bitmap map to one face of a cube- hmm what happens to the other faces yes ok :) - I'll grab a shot later, will make more sense to UV gurus

Created a Vray-textured-wooden plank, copied it a few times and Join As Not-Child-But-Equal and copied blocks of planks to make a wooden floor from floorboards

Switched over to Model quite a bit to use collision detection to squeeze the planks together to make the floor. Then in Workspace the textures have all reset and no wood textures... grrr what with crashing and can't-select and no Booleans and over-bright lighting in DX9 and Vray textures getting lost thank goodness for FA Cup Final happiness and beer :)

So a quick check running up 7.11 to see if I'm going bonkers, quick render

7.5 isn't helping here
