Hi, I ask this question before. Still trying to figure it out. Someone mentioned ecapsulating in 3d? But Iam lost. There are different things in workspace I would love to be able to keyframe. This question I posted before might help others with similar keyframing questions.

Previous post ...

Hello, Iam RENDERING TO FILE in the WORKSPACE an animation. I was wondering if there is a way to KEYFRAME the scene/opacity setting? I would like my scene to fade to lower opacity so the objects would be see through. Kind of like a special effect. Just dont know if I can keyframe any of the scene properties in the workspace realtime mode. Thanks much.

Sorry jhowell, these things take time.
Start by selecting all items you want to apply keyframing to in the LE. If there is too
many to see then right drag in the LE to zoom out.

A. When all items are selected, choose Encapselate objects in 3D.
B. Type in the objects name.

C. Click the DX title bar to make it active.
D. In the settings stack click Show Object Attribs.
E. This will open Object Render Attribs., check Enable Object Mode.
F. Click Object orange square to enter it.

----------------------------------
G. Find Object Render Attribs and select it.

H. Select the Expanded aspect tab. (Exp)
I. Leftt click on the Surface Opacity text and drag the green wire to the left side of LE.
***Alternatly, you can Right click text and choose Export, same diff.
J. Click orange triangle to move up a level.

K. Surface Opacity is now accessable at root level.

7142
----------------------------------
L. Right click record button to open Keying panel. Surface Opacity should be active, if it's not
active, right click and select Add to keying template.
M. In the Panels stack you can set keyframes for surface Opacity 0=transperent 1=Opaque.

Thanks so much for your incredible in depth help (this would not of been covered in the manual). My goal is to become a master at 7.5 and start helping people too. Thanks again ....
