Hello, On this thread it shows a properly rigged hand..

http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showthread.php?t=3480&highlight=hand

Also, there is a download elsewhere for this finished rigged hand. However, I would like to do it myself just so I would know how to properly do it. Iam having a few problems rigging it properly. Can someone maybe post a step by step on rigging the hand in this thread? Thanks :jumpy:

Are you making this from scratch and looking for info on how to make the bones and joints? Or are you looking for info on how to do the limits, IKHandles and locks?

If you have already started one and running into troubles info/pictures of what is happening would help us get you going again.

Than it is not such a big deal... hands are no different than doing the regular body, legs and such. There are lots of joints and bones this is true... but it is no harder to create them than it is any other branch on a character.

Follow the numbers on the diagram. Start with #1, than sequentially go thru the numbers. At the tip of each finger you need to go back to joint #2 and highlite it than start to put joints on the next finger.

Take your time, have fun and enjoy :D I'm glad it will help you.

Sorry about the blurry text, the PNG compression made it almost unreadable. I'll see if I can get something better up later.
