I get this sometimes and right now grrr :)

In rendering to an animation only every second frame is being saved as in frame0, frame2, frame4 etc being rendered/saved so VirtualDub can't see the sequence - is it me please?

Appears to be to do with the 15fps/30fps option. How odd.

If you really do want 15 FPS, then you could render out at 30, but change it to 15 in VirtualDub after you get the images loaded. This is what I do to get 60FPS, which I then downsample to 30 to get a smoother animation.

Thanks Jack - yes I'm using VirtualDub to create an avi from sequential frames too, that one had me puzzled though I can't see the point in missing out rendering every other frame and VD won't open a series unless the numbers are sequential. I kept finding only one frame loaded eek! until I twigged the 15/30fps thing. There must be some use for it :)

I know that with hand animation and cine cameras each frame was duplicated for smoothness in the final output, I thought I'd stumbled on an arcane animation mystery :) Thanks for your advice mate!
