i have this model in blender, and its made out of multiple objects(48). pic below. polycount= just under 200k.

now, i can import every object one by one, but is there a way to not have to place and scale them manually, or even automated?

this is my first project thats even going somewhere, as im planning on animating in tS.

im using tS 5.2 if that would matter.

Hi and welcome to the forums -

Firstly can I ask you to convert any pictures you post here to .jpgs as this allows them to download a lot faster - specially for those of us still on dial up connections? This also takes up less room on the forum servers. Thanks

Secondly, what file format are you exporting from Blender? (Sorry I'm not familiar with Blender at all). Usually the best option for importing a model like this is to group all the objects together (in Blender or what ever other program you are using) and export it as a .obj file (I know Blender can do this).

Most .obj file exporters I've used give you the option to export your model grouped by object or grouped by material - select group by object and export the file to somewhere handy on your hard drive.

I don't have tS 5 still installed on my computers and I can't recall if tS 5 comes with the LUUV plug in or not. If so it will be located in your tsx directory in your trueSpace 5 folder. You will need to load the LUUV plugin .tsx into trueSpace and then use that to import your .obj model.

It should import just fine as a single hierarchial model that you can scale and position as you desire.

Hope this helps and ask here if you need more help.

PS Don't forget to swap your bitmap for a compressed jpg - if your thread takes too long to download, less people will want to read it. ;)

I'm still using TS5 and I'm pretty sure LUUV didn't come with it, but I've had it so long I can't swear to that.

However, it should be pretty easy to find - as a hint, try looking here: ;)
