Hello,

I want to use Truespace to build the images for icons. My question is:

Is there a way to save truespace so the background is transparent?

If you are using VRay 1.52 saving in TGA format makes the background transparent.

tS 5.2 is also capable of this.
Render Scene to File, then choose *TGA As Type.
In the next dialog choose 32 Bit Image.
When you open the image in your 2D editor the background will already be on it's own layer.
