Hi
I am new to Truespace - bought 7.51 a couple of weeks ago. I am having fun learning the new tools but there is one thing I am missing out on.
It seems all of you are having a great time using Trueplay but I can't seem to log in - I always get a 'bad login name or password' error message.
I have reinstalled Trueplay 1.3 (twice) and checked with Caligari that my login name and password are correct, checked profile, turned off firewall etc but nothing seems to work.
Anyone got any suggestions on how I can solve this?
Thanks for your help
Paul
PS I have plenty more questions lined up! |

Hi Mirador. Welcome to truespace!
Check out this thread by Norm. Try logging in using truespace, by following the instructions in this thread. It requires navigating the Link Editor (LE), which is not difficult. We are here to help.
http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showthread.php?t=3839
In addition, we are going to have a scripting Meeting this coming Tuesday. I'd recommend using truespace to login so you can see what's happening in the LE.
Here's the link for that:

And, to help you get your feet wet with the LE and scripting (if you like or are interested in coding), here's a link for a simple tutorial:

I know Mirador emailed me about this problem and I confirmed that there is some type of problem but as of yet have not heard back from office about what could be the cause. I just resent my original question and hopefully I will hear back shortly. |

Hi Froo
Thanks for the welcome and advice.
I managed to change server, more by luck than judgement, but I still get the familiar 'nickname is wrong or already exists' message.
Its possible that my pc is playing up in some way so I am going to try installing Trueplay on another computer and see how I get on.
Thanks again

Welcome!
Now, for me,my login and password to the downloads section to get the stuff I bought is Different than the login I use for trueplay.
I believe the downloads username and password were assigned to me by caligari; but I picked my own trueplay name and password, which are the same that I use to login to the forums.
When you try to get into trueplaces, do you use your 'forum' username and password?
You may just need to do that...

Hi again Froo, I am amazed at these quick replies!
On my Caligari profile I can see the username and password I use to access this forum plus another field 'Nickname (for TP)'. This nickname is the same (i.e Mirador), I don't get the option to specify a password specifically for Trueplay though.
