Hi! I've made a simple cog with an animation. All it does is rotate. The animation in Truespace works fine when played but when I try exporting it to .x format the animation is not saved.

When I export to .x I then import the model in UltimateUnwrap but when importing it states that no animation is present within the file.

Does .x format only support boned animation?

What is the correct method for exporting an animation to x format?

I've read the part in the manual regarding .x exporting and have faile to export the sponing cog animation.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Thanks.

Have you got export animations ticked in the "settings" panel?

Could also be that only model-side vertex animation will export if you're exporting at the object level as well.

Check out 3DBuzz's video tutorial for GameSpace. It shows how to export character animations to DX using the Puppeteer plugin driving the model side bones animation.

Hi. I'm definately making sure that export animations is ticked. There are no bones it the model. Its just a simple cog that spins.

I'll try again and see if I can get it to work. :)
