Hi.

I am trying to load a really basic scene that I have started to make in TS 6.x and would like to make a test render of in TS 7.51 with Vray.

However, when trying to open the file I get this error message:

ERROR_EVENT

Load Object: Invalid version: 22048

Personally I still likes TS 6.x more than TS 7.x series, much since TS 7.51 runs slow as **** on my dual core intel machine.

And now I can't import scenes from TS 6? Not happy.... :(

You should be able to load a scene from 6.6 without problems. The only reason you might not is either because the scene file is corrupt or you may have been using a plug-in with tS6.6 that you don't have in tS7.x

Some plug-ins saved data in the scene files that meant you would get an error if you no longer have the plug-in.

Does this happend even if that plugin isn't used at all in the scene?

If you are trying to load TS6.6 Scenes in the "scn" format on the Workspace side this will always happen. You need to go to the "Model" tab and use the dropdown dialog for loading TS6x scenes there. The same with "cob" format objects. On Workspace side of the bridge you can only load "RsScn" scenes and "RsObj" objects as far as truespace items go.

I use both TS7.51 and TS6.6 every day, and from modelside TS66 files load flawlessly except for texture differences via render engines.

Hope that helps.

Not usually, it's only if a plug-in has been used on an object or used to create it and is still 'active'. Having said that there were some tSX that would misbehave and insert data into scene files even if they weren't in use. Off the top of my head I can't remember which, though.

Thank you both, my problems was apparently that I tried to load them from Workspace. I didn't know that it made any difference but now I know better.

This is great news, as this mean that I can continue to use TS 6.6 and its better speed (however, I did notice that model side of TS 7.51 also is quite fast, my problem is obviously with workspace which is very slow for me).
