I made a new library place on my external hard drive .. and it was working perfectly.

However, today .. it doesn't show up when I open the library browser. That drive is always available and is never disconnected, so I'm not sure why I've lost the link.

It seems very strange, did I miss some step in the process?

try re-making the library somewhere else just to see if you can pick it up and if you can maybee the drive or w/e you installed it on is corrupt? don't take my word for it or dont get worked up just saying could be that.:jumpy:

Did you reset to default context or re-install? You have to re-add it each time you do that.

Keep in mind it's just a symbolic representation of the physical location on your harddrive so you can add or remove it from Library Browser any time you want and it doesn't affect the directory that has your stuff in it. ;)

Right I realize I did not lose data, but I also didn't reinstall or anything like that.. and I use the external drive constantly.. it's working just fine.

However, I remade the library spaces and now all seems to be behaving, so .. I might not discover what went wrong at first..

Thanks.. if I get a problem again I'll try to be aware of what happened before the incident...

Hmm .. having had more time to think about it.. I did suffer an almighty crash at one point (computer totally froze.. not just one program) .. If tS were up at that point, I might have lost recent work when I shut down the computer.. ctrlaltdel was not an option
