Another life's lesson learned. If a scene crashes the program and keeps crashing it and it is recoverable after re-installing it, don't use the scene again. :D

I was testing out the hair tool as grass, and I got a scene crash. When I re-loaded there were some peculiar events.

Evidently, the crash made the camera hairy. hahaha!

Notice the green specs in the small black camera view. That's green hair. :)

So, I'll be throwing that scene in the recycle bin. :)

James, send this seen to Paul (support@caligari.com) so that he can pass it on to the devs. Crashing is always a bug that needs to be squished. ;)

Well, the scene is gone to the recycle bin, I'll have to remake it.

The only thing I did differently when the scene crashed before and this was way before I applied the hair was that I switched from DirectX to OpenGL.

It crashed shortly thereafter and I had to re-install tS7.5.

Unless you have Emptied your recycle bin, you can still restore the file. At least with Win XP you can do that.

Ah... OpenGL might be the issue then especially if your video card doesn't have good support for OpenGL.

Also if you're using Vista, one of the fixes to get TS7.x working on Vista was disabling OpenGL.
