Hello, I would like to save a rendered object at a specific size, but only the object. How would I accomplish this? For instance, if I create a box then render it, I only want the box, not the space around it. Is this possible?

Thanks for all help.

Yep. You need to save the output in TGA format. :)

... specifically 32 bit TGA, but that might not be what is wanted.

If you want just the box filling the image with the edges of the box right to the edge of the rendered image I can't think of a way to accurately get it right. I'd create a camera, make the view from the camera then position the camera so the object touched the edge of the view window, then render to file. With some patience that could be good enough.

I agree with Bobbins. However, if TS had a production frame facility similar to Carrara it would be very simple to attain.
For those not familiar with this, basically it is a bounding box showing the camera view which can be shown/hidden, re-centred & resized, enabling rendered output to be exactly as you need it.

When I render side views of buildings in architecture projects, I need to keep the same scale/size for all views.

Is that what you are looking for ?

If so, here is the trick :

1- Create a new layer,

2- Create a cube and scale it up to cover your objects,

3- In every side views, use the ZoomToFit (http://emmanuel.asset.free.fr/tsxarchive/index.htm) plugin,

4- Set the layer invisible to hide the cube.

Et voilà.
