In the link editor's little menu, I dared to click on "zoom to fit all" . All the objects in the link editor became a little smaller, turned blue (death?), and lost their orange square opener. I use the orange square constantly. I cannot get it back. So far I have tried:

opening a new file

rebooting the program

rebooting the machine

re-installing the program

calling my congressman

Nothing works and there is no mention of this weirdness in the manual. Any clues on how to return the link editor to it's normal look with the little orange squares?

Just right click in the empty space in the LE. :)

You are in zoomed mode.

Thanks again, Jack. That was way too easy so naturally I never thought of it.

No problem. :)

It's always the easy thing that are the hardest to figure out because no one thinks to include it in the manual... ;)

Don't feel bad, my first couple forays into the LE left me closing and restarting the TS because I could figure out how to exit panel edit mode (right click on the title bar and choose cancel) and I didn't realize that the orange triangle in the upper right by the LE aspect menu was used to go back up a level.

Took me a while to figure that out too!

for some extra reference in the PDF the chapter 2 User Interface section 2.9 covers the link editor in some depth.
