What is the Poly limit on Import for 7.51...?

What is the Poly limit on Import for 7.51...? // New Users

Just wondering...


I try and import a 85,000 poly model with textures and it brings 7.51 to its knee's....


Maybe its a setting with the HW...?

Shaders can drag down your computer as well, at least on mine.


I haven't figured out a formula for poly count in tS as yet. Organic objects appear to attack memory more than mechanically shaped objects. I have no clue why other than the required calculations needed to redraw curves and etc.


I've had 400K poly counts and done okay and I've had 100K poly counts and couldn't do anything in tS - so don't know what's going on.


I know when I imported a 600K poly human, tS crashed and burn as soon as the object was finished importing. lockup - no go



Maybe someone else who is used to put in high poly characters into tS will volunteer some information.

Have you tried with the bridge turned off? If not you are effectively loading twice as much data.

Also if the model has a lot of groups you may need to flatten the groups first before importing.

What format are you using?
