Hi

First af all, thankyou for the audio suggestions these have been very useful, but now what i am looking for is a good lip sync software which is compatable with truespace.

This is a bit of a long shot and i am sure i already know the answer but has any one tried and been sucessful exporting your own truespace models and charactors in to Reallusion`s Iclone2.

The place to ask is http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/ Theres a forum over there too where you can ask.

I do not have iclone, and only played around with the demo. The demo had a guy dancing, and when he came around in a circle he spoke and the lip sync was quite good.

But, you do need crazytalk to get lip sync in iclone, and they say iclone uses limited crazytalk, which I think must mean its not able to import all of the expressions crazytalk can provide. Correction, I just noticed it says iclone can do lip sync from wav files.

Iclone can not load truespace files directly. There is a developers tool available that will allow 3ds developers to create models, scenes, etc for iclone. I do not know if that means its a plug in for the 3ds program or is it standalone, and one just has to export truespace files as 3ds files and then load with this tool?

Can one do as good with FA? I think so, but it would be much more difficult with FA than to get the expressions right on a time line that crazytalk provides.

Also, crazytalk allows you to completly change your voice, in both format, and pitchshifting, and create audio files that sound like several different persons

Iclone has librarys of motion, so you can easily set your character to do common movements, and you can buy others.

Also it allows you to purchase sets of characters, materials, props etc, for low price of about $15 Its more like the poser program, but not as many features. Its for making videos.

You get a discount if you buy both crazytalk and iclone at same time.

So is it worth while for you to get? Depends on if you really need the above features, and if you can get the developer tool to load a 3ds file, that you export/convert from truespace. If not then if you can get a truespace 6, FA was able to lip sync to recorded wave files pretty good.

I just found out they sell a second program, 3d exchange to covert files to iclone format. Truespace is not listed as a file type supported, but it does say most obj files will load ok. Also check the compatibility page at http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/3dx_compatibility.asp Think it might be possible to get truespace files converted to one of these file types, and then imported to iclone.

Iclone is a pretty powerfull movie from 3d tool, go to yootube.com and do a search on iclone, will pull up a lot of tutorials and demos. Its amazing what can be done with it. More video tutorials can be found by going to google.com, select the video search option, and search for iclone.
