I have an object textured with a flat color JPG file and would now like to modify the JPG to fit certain features of the object (for instance to give rosy cheeks to a modeled head).


In the manual (Ch 5, pg 22) I read (about the UV editor):


Export Texture to file will save the current contents of the editor window (both texture and mesh) into a bitmap file.


I find that this button does save the texture, but not the mesh, so I have no guide to shading when I am over in photoshop.

UPDATE: In the stack, I must change the UV panel from default to export - then I find the control for what gets exported. Hope I haven't waisted more of Jack"s time.
