It may not be possible to view some of the older courses due to codec issues. There is a "Media Player Classic" download someplace that may help, it contains some of the older codecs, but not sure if it was intended for 64 bit Vista or not (and I cant recall if it solved the issue on my 32 bit Vista even).
If anyone has any luck finding / installing the codecs that may work with some older videos on the newer OS's, do drop your tips and links here please :)
Thanks!

Hi Martial,
Some of the courses use different codecs, can you tell us which course you are having problems with?
The recent courses should all be WMV 9.0 or 9.2 codec and should play on any computer with an updated version of Windows Media player installed.
If you're still having problems try these:
ffdshow-tryouts (codec pack)
http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/
and GSpot (codec identifier)

Thanks a million for this tip also martial!
I bought this course 3 months ago and could not watch it on my 64-bit vista machine.
I have been been searching the net over the last hour and found no solution until you made this post and it is already shown in Google. |

This came up before for me and here's the solution I found for it. A downloadable codec which will enable you to view the older video tutorials.

I had tried that link a number of hours ago and neither of the files worked on Vista 64-bit.
I have finally found a program that works for me ACDSee 9 Photo Manager.
I can put the drawing board away for a while.
Thanks for your suggestion. |

When the error comes up in Windows Media Player, follow the links in the dialog box that leads you to a solution, if any for 64 bit.
I have Home Premium, so only needed the 32 bit solution.
Good luck. |

I have not yet found a video file that I could not play in Windows media player that would not load and play correctly in Divx.
http://www.divx.com/
there is a free download for it on their home page. |

Kena I just downloaded the free version of DivX.
It plays the video but no sound.
The problem for me is the KFE Animation course files. They are wmv files but use
an older audio codec.
Fortunatly I have found two programs that work.
Thanks for your ideas. |

You could try downloading the K-Lite Codec Pack, however I haven't tested those on Vista and they do have the downside that they ship with a whole collection of Codecs and one or two videoplayers... It might be worth it as a last resort tho:
