Hi,

I want to ask how is it possible to render my scene in TrueSpace? Is it really only possible to export objects into other programes or is it possible to plug in an render engine? If so, how it works?

Till now I´m only abel to render with an offline-renderer on TS 6 interface, but it has a bad result. TS 7.6 interface gave me the message, that there is no offline renderer. Any ideas?

Thanks for help!

Also don't forget that you can use the realtime render. The icon is in the bottom right on the same flyout with the Manual and VE Export. Realtime render is awesome for rendering animations. It lets render out full HD resolution images at around 0.5 seconds per frame. (It's mainly harddrive speed limited!)

And if you learn how to make your own custom HLSL shaders you can create some really nice results. :)

Thank you!

But I don´t think that I´ll buy a render engine for 999$

It´s a pitty, as I think that TrueSpace is an interesting programme, but without renderoptions...:(

I really wonder why it doesn´t work with a cheaper engine or hat one by its own. For a hobbyist too much money.

VRay is $299.00 for trueSpace and dribble is $35.00.

Lightworks is a very capable render that is on the model side and supports multi-pass rendering via PSD layers.

One can use the real time render engine of Direct X on the Workspace side.

There are plenty of rendering options in trueSpace.

O great to hear!!

But I can´t find the real time renderer in the moment. Before and behind Export VE is nothing to see for rendering. (right side my view, down corner)

Also on top nothing to see in the moment. But I do my best to find it ;-)

Thanks again!

You can find the Render to File icon here:
13452

Also check out this very nice free render engine:
http://www.kerkythea.net/joomla/

You can export your scenes in 3ds format or objects in OBJ format and Kerkythea will be able to import them for rendering.

Here's a quick visual minitut on how to use the built-in Lightworks render engine:

13456

Switch to Model using the tab at top.

Locate render toolbar (it may be in a minimized state- look for a small grey square and click it to expand the toolbar.)
13457

Click and hold, then release on 'Render Scene'
Watch the magic happen.
To save the render to an image file, release on 'Render Scene to file'
Name it, choose format and output folder, then click render.

*Tip:*To abort render in progress, press ESC key or double-right-click in scene.

Thanks to all, I have just learned a bit more about the rendering.

Well, with the model-render-engine I have a good model as result but bad background (room wall).

If I would buy the drippel-engine, would it be possible for me to render with the programe itself to tif, jpg,png or psd file? I only make images and not really animations in the moment. Maybe someone can tell me something about.

(It´s awefull to be a newbie on a new software)

The LightWorks engine on the Model side is very good. Maybe your settings are not right or it
is showing it's age. For information about Dribble and 3Delight I have supplied you with their website links.
3Delight is using Pixar standards so is ready for Professional work. I hope some of this helps you.

Dribble Program Site:
http://truespace.coolpowers.com/dribble/

Dribble currently allows you to use the 3Delight Rendering engine on the MODEL SIDE only. (high probability this will be made for the workSpace side in the future)(It's a bargain!)

3Delight Web Site:
http://www.3delight.com/en/
The first license is free so not bad for a $1000 program. I might warn you that you have to renew it's free license every 6 months. (sort of a pain for some)
