I did try looking in the manual for help on making cloth in 7.6, but i followed the instructions, and my cloth won't animate, even when I add a wind physics thing. I played the animation/physics simulation, and nothing happened.

Any idea how I can animate the cloth like in the videos?

Thanks!

Bear in mind they are realtime not keyframed.

I had a little trouble with this but Prodigy helped me...maybe he could share the scene..you need an atmosphere and some wind of course.

Without it I just get drape effects and there are cloth locks you can use to 'pin' parts up.

I did add an atmosphere, and wind, and it's still doing nothing.

Where's Prodigy when I need him the most.:(

Also, I was wondering. As mentioned in the manual cloth is not keyframeable. That is a bummer. Any comments on that. :)

The main thing keeping cloth from being keyframable is the lack of vertex animation support. As Tom indicated in another thread, once that gets added, cloth should be able to be keyframable as well.

Tamtam, let me know if your still having problems getting cloth to work and I'll make a video showing how I did the blowing cloth animation.

Jack, that would be so nice of you to make/send a video tutorial for me on how you made the animated cloth. I still cannot get it to work.

Thanks a lot!:jumpy:
