My laptop (which is what I'll be using) has screen res of 1440 x 900 .... but recommended for 7.6 is 1280 x 1024 .. is this going to be a problem?

Totally depends on the graphics card involved. If it can comfortably push the pixels great, if it can not, then perhaps a lower resolution is / will be required.

You could use truespace without problem on your res.

If you change your default native screen resolution you will see truespace a bit "weird" cos the interpolation of points needed for lcd displays.

LCD ALWAYS must be used (that's my suggestion) on its native resolution for an optimal view.

Maybe you will need to move a panel but truespace will run fine..

Im using 1280x960 in both monitors dual screen and runs like a charm! :)

The recommended is to show the lowest resolution we recommend. At lower res than the recommended, you may find not much screen space for things - you can take advantage of collapsing windows and custom layouts of course, but we do recommend at least 1280x1024. All our recommendations are minimums needed to get the best from tS :)

Higher though is no problem, the more the merrier, depending on what your graphics card can handle as Norm states. Most modern cards in the $100 to $150 price range will easily handle 1600x1280 (on dual screens).

HTH!

I am using TS76 on my laptop (17" screen) at 1440 x 900 without a problem,I think its down to ratios.
