I was just wondering if TS7.6 is for commercial use or just for community stuff? My assumptions were that the free download was for community use, while the paid download (495 for the next week or whatever) was for commercial use. Any one know if my assumptions are correct?

No -when the banner says " Free at last" it means it, no strings attached commercial and community both!:)

Now I wonder how many others with experience of Maya, XSI etc. are under the same misapprehension?:D

No license limitation is imposed. The software can be used commercially. There is no longer any paid version available (if you find any link that takes you to a purchase, or even appears to suggest there is one, do let me know so I can remove it!)

Thanks!

Tom

You don't know how excited hearing that makes me, as a new small indie developer it's impossible to find something affordable to use. Especially something as good as true space.

Also I'm not sure where I found the link, but it said it was offering Truespace for $495 for a limited time, it was at the bottom of the home page I beleive, but when I went back to look for it it was gone:rolleyes:

But thanks for the info guys, myself and the guys developing with me or happy to hear that we found a good program to crank out some sweet games.

Do please share screenshots, and even playable levels and demos. Many folks would be interested to see what you are working on!

Thanks!

Tom
