Why is the rendering being offset? I've tried fiddling with the Windows Settings. What is the secret so my work screen and render screen match?

I find that my Vray renders are more 'zoomed in' than they are in the 3D window prior to rendering...:(

Hi Steinie. I have always found that tS off sets my renders. In 6.6 the 7.51 demo and in 7.6. I think its a Vista thing and the only workaround I have found is to change the Direct X render properties from Direct 3D HAL to RGB Emulation. However, this is quite a bummer as doing so will disable your video memory acceleration.

I find if you just render to the main view in the window, it will be offset, because the main view has tool pallets on top and such. When I need a render to a specific size (which I often do), I create a second 3D view window and use the window size option to make the window the final output size I want. I then adjust the camera position so it looks right in that window, and when I render, I make sure that window is the active one.
