Just downloaded the Scripting Follow up course. When I load in the sequential robot arm into a new scene, the parts are all out of place and all weird sizes!!!

Any idea why???

Hmmm... Just loaded both robot arms into 7.51 and they both worked!?

Something different between 7.51 and 7.6 the way objects are saved and loaded?

Yes, several differences in some of the ways that tS7.51 and tS7.6 work, not so much in the load and save, but in the object structures themselves (scripting changes, animation changes, etc), so it is possible that older objects may not load properly. Anyone else seeing this with the robot arm?

BTW I think the robot arm may even be 7.0, pre-dating 7.5 even, not sure :) If it is not loading, there is a version tha tworks in 7.6, so maybe that can be made available.

HTH!

Yes some changes occurred. The original sequential robot arm is trueSpace7.0 era. The exiting and fully functioning robot are is a better example. The script portion of tutorial should still be valid but there is no time to redo old stuff like this. Better to begin new scripts and such that are intended for trueSpace7.6. We had some very interesting new additions which will make for some interesting scripts.

If I ever catch up I wish to start a few myself :)
