Brilliant, nice job on the blur that fixed it right up and now it looks really good to my eyes. And with that plus the cloud, this does indeed look finished to me. An excellent trip down memory lane, and maybe I'll even go pick up the game if I can find it someplace as I never did try the Xbox one.

Thanks for sharing how this image has progressed and grown! Any more plans for Beat, the bus station, or the cel shaded look in future artworks?

Thanks!

Tom

Thanks for everyones help on this image. I got a lot of good feed back and with that I was able to create a much better image than if I did it on my own.

As far as plans in the future I would be lying if I told you this image was my original plan for this model. :) I have about a minutes and a half of storyboard timed to music from the game right now. I think it's a little ambitious at this point. For now though I will be doing test animation. So this is not the last you've seen Beat........and Friends. ;)

Good news then :) In that case, whenever you are ready (and take your time), I look forward to seeing more of Beat and those mysterious hinted-at friends!

Thanks!

Tom

I've also found these forums very helpful when creating my art. Most people here are helpful and full of praise and suggestions to improve.

Just start up another W.I.P. and we will be there for you!

I thought for the people that have not seen or played the game they might what to view the trailer. I hope to capture this type of fast-paced animation for my videos.

Well here is my first test animation. This is just a rough animation. I sill need to tweak some of the movements. I think I'll speed it up just a little too.

good start for the animation. I've seen many people better than I with roller blades, and the stroke needs to be a bit quicker, and the pause between strokes need to be a bit longer. Just slightly. You need a push - roll, push - roll, push - roll action.

this video might help:
