I'm sorry if I'm asking questions with obvious answers. The TS7 help is hard to navigate. It's html that links to pdf. I work much better with searchable cross-referenced help.
BTW, I work in the model side. There's a renderer (yes, I'm using the free version), everything looks cleaner, it's more appealing visually, and it's easier to work in.
The only way I can find to import dxf is right clicking on the object library. How do I just import a dxf into the scene?
I created an extruded spline and saved it as an rsobj so I could open it later. I can load it, but if I try to move it, scale it, or rotate it, the program crashes. If i chose to log the crash, I then get a blank email or a blank dmp for an error report. So, I went back to my trusty sPatch and modeled the part. When I try to import the dxf from sPatch into TS, I get the error, "Load Object: Invalid version: 20047".
Also, when I extrude a spline, how do I make the faces solid? |

Hi androidlove.
I can answer the first question at least. :)
On Model side, click the TS6 Files tab
Then Select Load->Object
You should be able to load a .dxf object that way.
DXF shows up in the Files of Type dropdown list when you click the down arrow.

The help is searchable throughout all chapters - Acrobat Reader lets you search either the current document or an entire folder. Search the folder that the manual is installed to and it will find all occurences of your search term in all chapters :)
HTH!

Well, I never knew Foxit had that feature. I't not quite as efficient as a Windows help file, but it's usable.
Why did Calgari go this route? |
