Any good TS books or video tutorials out there for beginners? I have the book for TS4 ('Inside TS4'). Which is pretty good for me, since I'm currently using TS3. Doesn't seem like alot has changed between TS3 and TS4. I have installed TS7.5 and 7.6 but there's just too much for me, at this point.

So if anyone could recommend any video tutorials or books for beginners...something with very basic techniques, that would be appreciated. I do know some things, but there are alot of tools that I have no clue what they do and I certainly have no idea how to use them. Thanks again for all the help and advice!!

I'd start with the manual - have you downloaded both it and the associated videos?

Then there are the free tutorials accessed from the "training" button in the header above - start by downloading what seems the most relevant at the time.

As far as ts 7x books go - I don't think there are any.

No 7.x books are available that I know of.

The two courses available for learning Workspace (the new TS architecture) are my course here:
http://www.caligari.com/products/trueSpace/ts5/Courses/WorkspaceOrganicModeling1.asp?Cate=Training&Subcate=Fundamental

And Nowherebrain's here:
http://www.scatteredpixel.com/files/Page1.html

Keep in mind that both were made in 7.51 and there are some differences with 7.6. They should be very helpful in getting you started though.

The videos that are inserted in the manual are about the workspace side. They are pretty good. They tend to demonstrate the text's tutorials.

And if anyone wants to write a book, they could get a good reception from a publisher - nothing like having a potential market in the size of millions for your book to get them interested....

So a potential winner situation there, could be a nice money earner.

HTH!
