Sorry if this has been brought up before but could not find it. How would I keyframe one D3D material to a completely different D3D material on an object? Or, as in the picture below keyframe from maybe a bronze preset to a silver preset in an animation. Thanks :jumpy:

Open the Keying Panel and within the Keying Panel right click and open the Attribute Browser.
Select the following attributes to add them to the Keying Panel.
14461 14462
Record start and end Keyframes for Bronze material.
Add another Track then Record start and end Keyframes for Silver material.
Note you will have to apply material for the Silver material from the Material Editor before Recording Keyframes.

If you want a smooth transistion from Bronze to Silver.
Record starting Keyframe with Bronze and ending Keyframe with Silver on one Track.

Thanks so much trueblue. I forgot how to do that. Hope that helps others too. Now the big question is .... can a D3D material be changed and keyframed on an object to a totally DIFFERENT D3D material? hmmmmmmm :jumpy:

Open the Keying Panel and within the Keying Panel right click and open the Attribute Browser.
