The tool doesn't seem to be able to see the faces on parts of the model. I can make one from one point to another point but not to one right next to it. I go to other parts of the model and can't make any polygons. The add edge tool is the same but the add Vertices tool works. I have check and recheck the model and faces to make sure everything is right. Anyone else run into this and have a way to fix or where to look for what may cause this. |

It's hard to tell without a picture or model, but the quadrify polygons tool might help. |

Ok I will give it a try. But I don't think it will help. I have crash 5 time in last 20 min. I will just load the last save an start form there and see how it goes. |

Are you using workspace or model side? Also what video drivers are you using? |

Hi Jack
I am using workspace and the video drivers is nvidia 8400gs
5/16/2008 driver ver. 6.14.11.7519. Truespace crash due to a diver so I just updated all my divers. As I think of it I could had left some of the old driver on when I updated them and they may be causing this. I will try to reupdate the drivers and see if it help. |

I think the 175.19 driver is ok as far as stability went, but I think there may have been some issues with shader math and shadows with that driver. You could try the 177.xx series ones (what I am currently using):

I've not had any problems with the Form faces tool, workflow that I use is to select the edges that I want to connect, then click Form Face. |

I updated to 177 The from face seem to work find it the add polygons and add edges that seem to be going nuts. The green dot goes where it likes to, sometimes it seem to go though the model or the path it takes is all over the model. Sometime it will make a edge or polygon but not where I would like it to be.
I made a small video on how the tool acts. this a win media file

have you tried these drivers:

having an 8 or 9 series card, these are excellent. No troubles yet and added PhysX drivers too! This appears to be the start of Nvidia's much publicised new 'big bang' drivers...:D |

:banana:Thank You trueBlue That was it.:jumpy: Some how I turn it on. The slight change in color makes it hard for me to tell if a tool is on or off. This one tib bit I will add to my troubleshooting list. Now thanks to all for your help. |

Ooooh neat Splinters! I'd heard rumors about that. Looks like the LaptopVideo2go guys are bit behind. It'll be nice to get a hacked inf file so I can try those out on my 7900GS. ;) |
