That is cool. I could see something like this being a conceptual art piece in a museum. Nice work! |

Cool.
Reminds me of the vascular system that was on display at this exhibit. (http://www.bodiestheexhibition.com/)
(Go see it!)
How did you do it? |

just a short animation with one of those ribbon fellas:D
It's just a first try, without any locks, only wanted to see if it is possible at all to animate the ribbons.

Wow Emma! This is really interesting stuff. I notice that the figures have tensions points where the ribbons are gathered. I'm not sure how you have done this - is it possible to create some soft saggy bits as well? - perhaps they could drape across a rock or something else in the scene. |

How did you do it?
Well, I'm not quite sure of it, it's a several step process. Base is a figure created with MakeHuman. When I'm sure about repeatedly being able to create it every time I'll let you know. Until then you can play with the attachec half guy, you can give him for example a whole human bone skeleton to animate him. As bones are invisible in the animation it gives an interesting look, looks funny.
In the attached picture the right one is my start, then importing into trueSpace, adding SDS and then following some more steps which I have to retry until I'm sure about it.
The object unpacked is over 6 MB |

Nice one Emma. This character looks like something Max Ernst might have painted - surrealistic, Germanic and expressionistic all at once. |

mirrored the half-object, and both parts then controled by one bone system, interestingly that works. If you watch the middle you should notice the gap between the left and the right part. |

In case someone else want's to animate , I attached the object. It is quite huge. Still wan't to keep the original one till I'm finished, therefore this object has a little disformed feet, but doesn't matter that much for such an object. |
