Meet Doug. He's new!

Just a doodle, not really sure where this is heading yet, if anywhere. Major thanks to 3DFrog who gave me some great help and advice with rigging him up so he's all poseable. Anyway, figured I'd share just in case this develops into anything.

I'm liking this one. I wonder if the cubes should be clay logs, stones, and forest-y background stuff...

Great character! Pose is like the moment after the seal-hunt opened. Or there is a hockey-game one iceberg over and the polar bears are winning :)

Oh sure I make a woman with big B____s and you make inch worms...! I guess fair is fair.

I like the expression on Doug's little face and it is cool to see you back working with your special secret clay substance. I'd like to see more done with him.

Well, if there's some sort of wacky symbiosis going on, I don't have big B's so I guess your inch worm, err, isn't! ;)

Thanks for the comments guys. It's good to be back 'in the clay'. Doug's future is slowly starting to reveal itself to me, more soon

He's alive... ALIVE!

Been playing with Doug and trying to learn some of tS7's animation secrets. Here's his first mobile outing!

Awwwww...... he's cute! get him to open and close his mouth, and you can use a "baby voice" to give him a way to communicate. :D

LOL! I love the animation style! The blinking at the end is priceless. :jumpy:

Well he is a cute feller.
I would experiment with some half blinks to blend the crisp open/closed eyes.
Doug is destined to be a Star! (if not he'd make fine fish bait)

moving my office around a bit today and yesterday and haven't hooked speakers up yet.

Will review again, once I get my ears on...

Animation is very good though! Emotive and all squiggly :)

Nice job on the animation!

As usual, it has that neat clay look!

This may not have been planned, but the shadow noise on the model actually makes it look more like claymation. ie. How fingers are pressed against the model to pose it for each frame, and each time the clay gets little depressions / nudges here and there.

Accidental? ACCIDENTAL? I spent weeks modelling those subtle ripples, ridges and dents! Hehehe! It's just low samples from Vray but I did notice it actually enhances the look, not to mention speeds up the render! Win win for me!
