Hi All,

Many thanks for the support so far on this forum, I am slowly but surley getting to grips with the Workspace side, but have further questions to ask regarding selecting objects and hiding unselected objects in Workspace

If for example I have a number of objects in a scene that I select using Ctrl, can I hide the unselected objects easily (I can only see a hide function for point edit, whereas I am at object level)?

Is there anyway to highlight just the selected objects (ie change colour, translucency etc) to distinguish against the unselected?

Does the Workspace support Levels or is this now done via the LE (I have not learnt LE yet!)?

Again, sorry for all the questions

There are no layers in workspace - unless you use the layerz plugin from Dele. This will allow you to group objects into layers, and then show or hide selected layers.

The workspace does offer showing and hiding in Point Editing as you note (that the Models side does not). Very handy, that!

Yes, the Settings option in the panel will let you decide on whether selected objects are highighted or not. You can choose from Subobjects (default - when you go into a hierarchy the subobject is highlighted, but at scene level there is no highlighting), Object (any selected object or subobject is highlighted when selected, and when moused over), or None. You can adjust colors too if you like, again in the stack.

I think levels means layers, but not sure :) You can group things using Encapsulate in 3D, which gives you levels in the sense of hierarchically grouped objects. For layers, like in the Model side, see comments on the layerz plugin above :)

HTH!
