Since the latest rage appears to be he-man weapons of war, figured I'd start a wip.

Rough test model (just for practice) of an Unmanned Aerial Stealth Vehicle

One of the on board ordinances for the stealth UMAV.

A cluster bomb called the 'boiler'.

Uses hot copper fragmentation bomblets coated with depleted uranium and also expanding gas modules that seek a resonance signature before exploding (change in sound, light, or temperature frequency)

inner workings on the floor in copper and orange

Mark XXV Boiler Cluster Bomb - a nasty piece or work

Will we ever see these animated?

Ya...since I just got After Effects and Premiere, I have grandiose ideas.

My goal is to make a start to finish fly through starting with a
scene from Operations Center,
then take off,
then airborne over terrains,
then tracking,
then deployment of ordinance,
hopefully some wicked destruction and mayhem on targetsThat's the plan anyway. :)

Oh yeah, some techno music and additional sound effects, etc.

Will try to make the video like a defense contractor hawking their wares. :D

Yikes, those munitions look nasty. If there's a hint that your UASV might be heading towards my shores, I'd better get my Ugly Betty interceptor in the air on patrol.... and some better anti-stealth measures in place!

Actually, stuff that, I surrender! :D

Shoot I got you covered Nez...I will send over my rednecks and the winne and we will shoot our shotguns out of the window and shoot it down...and we might just dust some crops for you while we are at it!

Sorry, but this UMAV can travel at mach 3, go to 100K feet in altitude and is electronically tethered to supporting missile defense systems which track all surrounding hostiles by satellite and radar. :D

(squirt, squirt...dribble...fizzle...pop)

Throws out a bowl of red beans and rice, along with lease contract for a house with dogs already laying under the front porch. :D

Getting my "sea legs" with After Effects.

Made a very rough scene of what a cluster bomb effect would be on structures. (destroying structures etc. learning gradient masks in videos, applying layered effects)

My apologies for the cartoonish look, but wanted to keep the size small while learning AE.

Neglecting this project a bit. Did manage to go to phase 2 with After Effects and the Learning curve.

Used a more complex gradient mask to knock out specific areas (windows, etc.)

Next time I will substitute the red cluster particles with maps of the final product.

The last will be to add smoke and fire.

Then I can do different view points. :)

Okay, back to work on this project. Started a concept drawing, so I can draw some rotoscopes for modeling of the UAV Stealth.

James all looks pretty good..the only thing I can say about the cluster vids is that it looks more like a decaying building rather than an exploding building.

Yeah, I agree, I need to redistribute my gradient map and clip out some dead space to speed it up.

Have yet to add fire and smoke as well. Should be an interesting scene. :)

Some very basic work. 404 polygons used thus far on the UAV.

Giant Front Landing Gear Assembling. :D

The rod in front is for hooking to steering gimble (not attempted or thought about) :)

Nice dynamic looking aircraft shape James. The current lack of an obvious cockpit gives it the look of a surveillance drone at the moment.

That's because it is an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) :D

Lol! That would certainly explain that then! Guess I'm not that good when it comes to reading TLA's (Three Letter Acronyms).

Rear Wheel Assembly started. Quit cause eyes were slamming shut. :D

The retractor box needs a lot more work, looks like a carpenter's tool box currently. :p

May need to re-sculpt the body a bit on the under to accommodate wheel and weapons bays.

Anyway, that's all for tonite (crosses eyes and looks at self)
