This a character model made for a game, they decided that they wanted something more humanoid, so my idea was throw out! :-( lol, thought id show you lot and see what you think, its got both high and low polygon versions:

I think they lost out on a good model for their game. Great job! How many polys in each version, and were you going to have to triangulate the whole thing?

heh thanks for the comment, i put the polys underneath each image, i never got far enough for them to ask that heh, a lot of the project was very secretive, ive been ripped off too many times with companies, ill wait till i finish uni in about 2009 lol until i try and get noticed, im only 17 lol means companies can easily treat me like rubbish and not pay for my work |

Kinda reminds me of the Iron Giant, not in looks...but just the feel of it (except it doesn't look quite as compassionate:)). My kids and I watch that movie all the time. I find that ever since I began my foray into the field of CG art I can't help but 'pick' apart how the artists create things, rather than just enjoying the movie:)
That's quite an original concept; I especially like the drone companion, lot's of versatility for that in a game. Again, good work. Are you gonna textue it now, or move onto something else for the time being?

i did a quick texture of the low poly version but it wasnt too good, i might leave it for now, texturing isnt my strong point heh |
