Hi all have not had much time as of lately but I had a chance to put this together. Still using 6.6. What do you all think?

Very moody, almost painterly look. I like it!
The more I look at it, it feels vaguely disquieting... almost spooky.
I'm curious, what is the cloud-like object in the lower right corner?
Nice work! |

I was getting scared so I turned up the lights. I hope you don't mind. Really good use of textures and color. It looks more like a painting than a rendering. Nicely done. |

Ya caught me ;) the very purpose of this image was to leave the viewer unsetteled. This is conveyed by the lighting, object placement, and even the slight angle of the composition. I m not one for blood everywhere. Glad to see these cues worked.
As to the "cloud" it is my forever evolving logo. Nephos in greek means cloud or cloud mass. Like a cloud I blow in and out around these parts rendering when I can.
Just for for you bill here is a early version lit brighter. Don't be scared:p

You accomplished this very well. While viewing it, I was torn; I want to know what is beyond that doorway....but I'm pretty sure I won't like what I see! :)
Again, very nice work. |

Thanks Dele. I have also give some thought into not rendering my images so crisp and clean as I had in the past. I had fun doing this in the embryo pic I submitted last month. The orginal image was rendered a little bit larger(910x648) and the image doesn't seem as dark. I may brighten it up a tad...

:D I had to giggle at that one. Thanks again b_scotty. If the mind can conceive it then it will be real. The power of suggestion is very strong. I would be interested in hearing what others would think could be back there.

Finished only in the sense of a still image; I imagine there is a lot more to do in people's imaginations...;) |
