I was challenged a while ago (by someone who shall remain nameless... oh, OK then, it was GeneG!) to make a KateClay Roman! I did it and it then slowly developed, as these things do, into something a little different! At times these forums can feel a bit like a circus so the below was born...

Hope no-one takes offence at any of it and takes it in the good humoured nature it is intended.

The first few times I looked at it, I picked up on someone else. "Oooohh...that's spacekdet in the canon". Ha ha! Fun picture!

I don't know if you've noticed Frank, but you've got some Mickey Mouse ears on with those tires aligned the way they are:D

Great work.

I didn't notice but now that you mention it...yeah...I do have Mickey Mouse ears. Ha ha! I'll bet that was intentional! :)

HE HE I love it. Great idea and I've always been a fan of the clay look that you achieve.

(can't help thinking that a circus is an ideal place for a mouse... maybe a little brown one with pink hair... hint.. hint... hint...):)

How do you manage to get that clay look? Metaballs and soft shadows?

Whilst I planned to leave this image now, that empty plinth was bugging me so MadMouse gets his wish! Check the pic now!

brianalldridge - metaballs and soft shadows? Nope! Bad meshes and bump shaders! :)

Thanks for the comments and feedback chaps.

LOL! :D Fabulous Kate! I take my pointy hat off to you!

Though I didn't get a set of cool wheels like Frank's at least I got a body! And ironically I have been juggling a lot of different things lately - although not my fellow forum members!!

I've been busy working on a big musical project and haven't been able to do any trueSpacing but it's nice to know that my avatar has still been busy on the forums in my absence without my knowledge - even if he is throwing fellow forum members around!! (Sorry about that chaps!).

Katherine I think your presence on these forums is priceless - every image you post is a delight and an inspiration - I still laugh when I think of what you did with Geneg's digger! Pure visual poetry!

Oh yeah - for the record I can only juggle three balls at once.

Ironically so have I. My new toy (Alesis Fusion) is getting all of my time at the moment...

Care to share the secret project?

Hi Brian - I was just commenting on your waterfall pic! Not sure if I could still do it but I used to count to 100 counting on each throw as I juggled - if I dropped a ball before I reached 100 I'd make myself start again. I did this as a workout for my upper body as well as my hand/eye coordination - juggling is also a good warm-up just before a gig, for playing the guitar and for quieting the pre-performance jitters! I also went through a phase of playing a LOT of hacky sack. Then I found computers....

Care to share the secret project? Chuckle - it's no big secret - heck it's probably not even a 'big' project (specially if one has such classy toys as your latest aquisition! ;) ). Essentially I'm recording a CD of songs - many of which I've written - which are being sung by my wonderful partner. The idea is to get a record of these songs as sung by her and simultaneously solve the question of what to give folks for xmas!

Currently we have three songs at various stages of completion but aim to do lots more - and if I find somewhere to host some mp3's I might post one or two of them on the net in which case I'll post a link here somewhere.

Be advised the result will be strictly amateur.

Must be that time of year! I'm in the studio from Saturday starting to record the next album!Indeed it is that time of year! Any Astrologer will happily tell you that the sun has just recently moved into the sign of Gemini which rules (amongst other things) the mind and communications, communication technologies and the transmission of information via the spoken - or sung - word. Recording an album at this time of year is entirely appropriate - I hope it goes well for you and good luck - recording is deceptively hard work to get just right.

And in a desparate attempt to keep this thread on topic I am intending to use trueSpace to make the cover art for our little CD project!!:D :D

Chuckle - nice idea Brian - actually the CD is supposed to showcase my partner (known as Witchy or SpaceWitch) so is likely to feature a Witch rocking out rather than a wizard. First things first we need to get the musuc recorded!!
