For your first it's not bad. A few suggestions:

The tiles would look more interesting if they had a bit of a bumpmap. Just a little touch (maybe the bw cloud texture with 0.02 amp to distort the perfect reflections).

The cap of the bottle needs more specularity for the typical plastic look.

Keep on rendering

More specular, less shiness, max defuse and 0 Luminance for the bottle and maybe a touch of mirroring.

Tiles smaller, the walls need a Bumpmap or a texturemap ( same for the ceilng )

You need a environment with a picture of a bathroom.

shadows, i miss soft shadows from a IBL or a skylight.

And pls post a unfinished image in the wip area.

This here is for final images ;)

For a first attempt this is great. Far better than my first image (which was a wine glass if I recall correctly).

Did you want the lettering raised as it would look better IMHO if it was added using textures, but if your new to this lark, I may be asking you to walk before you can run :) all in all a great first image.

I'm tempted to say 'it stinks' but then cologne is supposed to stink!

Seriously though, it's a good start. Let us know if there's a particular thing you want to do with the image and I'm sure you'll get some specific advice on how to go about it. For now graysho's suggestions would be a great place to start.

Pretty good for a first atempt, I might suggest a tiny bit of bump mapping for the lid to give it that plastic look.

Thanks for all the great replies and suggestions. I have aadjusted some of the lighting, but am very new. This will give me some things to explore. And I will continue this on the WIP thread (sorry) :)!
