Nice job emmanuel,

These look great. Looks like a nice place to life. Good use of vegatation and lighting.

The bottom image with the car in the parking area looks a bit strange to me, maybe the shadow is too dark and the car seems a bit thin, maybe it's the camera angle. Not as noticeable in the image with the car to the left of the camera.

Really well done. In some images it's (very) hard to see where cg ends and photo begins. That sports car in the last image looks off though. I think it's the scale (too small) and the dark shadow like daybe said.

Thanks for the comments :)

The trees/plants textures are from absolute textures (http://www.absolutetextures.com/)

The car is at its right scale. But it is a Ferrari F355 (1.17 meters height) !

I think that the strange looking comes from the driveway : a steeply slope begins just at the front of the car but the rest of the ground is flat.

The light and shadows might need some more work though. With V-Ray, I tend to become lazy : just set GI on, add one sky light, and clic render :D

Really nice work. The second from last image is almost undetectable as a composite. Bravo!!!

Now the only question left is to recreate this as truePlay scene:)

Very nice work, Emmanuel. You have captured that sun-soaked atmosphere so typical du Midi de la France. Did you model the Ferrari yourself? It looks so well-proportioned.

Now working on the interiors.

As always, V-Ray gives its best with GI.

Thanks to Prodigy for his stainless steel glossy shader settings ;)

Nice clean work - I like it. The room looks a little... sterile, to my eye anyway. If I saw this in a photo I would think the room was too cold for my taste but your rendering of it is great. :)

During the last 2 1/2 years, I have created more than 300 (yes : 300!) renders of the villa. Those trueSpace pictures were used to decide the whole architecture of the villa. Almost every detail has been created in 3D, at every step of the architecture conception and it might be the first time 3D has been involved at this level for an individual villa project.
Of course, the design has evolved a lot since the first renders you saw on this topic, so I thought you may like to see the result :)

Today, the villa is built, and is a seasonal rental. So hurry to book if you plan to attend Cannes' 2008 film festival !

Here (http://www.villasacha.com) you can visit the website I've just made. And there (http://emmanuel.asset.free.fr/photo/index.html) are some photos I took last week. For the photographers among you : I've used a Canon 5D with 17-40 ES-L lens.

Awesome renders, and awesome villa too. Maybe you can get a week or more there free each year for your work on it ;)

Thanks for sharing as the project developed, and now that it is complete. Magnificent in many ways!

Wow, unless they recycle the water, I'd hate to have to see their water bill... :p

Stunning photography by the way, Emmanuel!

That place is amazing. I could see someone rich and famous staying there during the festival. Beautiful.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone :)

Also, thank you again Tom for the english version rereading ;)

I confirm there is no render on the website -except the top view and the cut off plans- ; I think the 17 mm lens plus the very clean look of walls make the pictures look almost virtual. Also, I have used a combination of flashes and lights in interiors that may produce an artificial/unnatural look.

Funny how my photographies tend to look virtual and my renders show as real :D

No worries Emmanuel, it was fun to help proof read the site and get an early glimpse of it :)

There are some renders of this collected onto one page, that can be seen here:

Can be fun to compare!
