That is a very nice render of an optical illusion. The only point I would make is that it seems a little blurry or out of focus, but that may have been intentional. :) Otherwise, nice work! The only give-away in your render is the shadows. By painting the underside face of forward piece with a brighter color (with a little self illumination) kind of hides the shading.
