Bee-utiful! Great colours and I like the juxtaposition of the real bee with the artificial looking flowers - they look like cardboard cutouts.

Wizard, You DID figure it out, nice job! Thanks for your kind comments.

Eagle, My Cartoon background is showing with the use of bright colors. I'm glad you like it. Welcome aboard too! (I liked your site)

Stan, The "Slug" is very hungry! :D

Believe it or not the most time I spent was on the basket which ended up getting covered! Maybe I'll bring it out in another project. (Basket weaving 101;) )

The grass looks excellent, the basket should sink in a bit more I guess. And from my point of view the basket should have some texture (I like CG to be worn and dirty). The flowers have a fractal look, I bet they are done with the scatter plugin. You might try the gradient option for some interesting coloring.

Eagle, No website. I'm not that interesting and I like spontaneity. Although I do have a Genealogy website.....(and thats about old stuff). Keeping up the website would take away time from TS. If I did have one I would want it to look like MadMouse's. Maybe I should hire him.....
Graysho, yes this was done using Scatter. Sinking the basket further would improve it. To get an artificial look I stayed away from using texturing too much.
This time I did want it to look fake. Plus the fact my weakness IS texturing.

TrueBlue, nope I'm still learning this stuff but having a great time doing it!

Glad you like it. This one was a huge challenge for my computer and tested my patience. It had slowed down so much that a simple mouse click delayed up to 30 seconds. So I had to plan my actions in advance and wait for the results.

I learned my lesson.... use layers!

After I rendered it and I clicked the close button it took 15 minutes to shut down. (deleting the page files!)

This one came out pretty much how I had dreamed it. This time I liked the render using Lightworks better then V-Ray.

I have a really cool idea for the next one and hopefully my computer can handle it. I don't think it's been done here before so stay tuned...................:)

Hey throw some of your stuff out there I'd love to see it.

Hey Steinie: I am so enthralled with the interactivity within Player that I have forgotten how to render something. But I will work on something soon. I am my worst critique so a lot of my work gets deleted and I would be totally embarrassed to post. My main interest is animation and now with trueSpace7 has opened up a whole new and exciting learning curb.

Hey Steinie - I so relate to this dude - your machine is similar to mine - you have a better graphics card than I do though. Windows is constantly increasing the size of my paging files given my love of highly detailed scenes with lots of lights and large textures - I'm so glad I bought a good hard drive!

Keep up the good work and remember - as we say in New Zealand "Mein lager is Steinlager". Steinlager is a locally brewed export beer a bottle of which is usually refered to as a Steinie!
