First post sooooooo *DEEP BREATH*:

I'm 14 and in year 10, and have been working with Truespace for about two to three years. 'Ere's my picture that I think is the best. Based on the Nintendo game F-Zero.

What d'you think?

Cheers:D

though I need to get a better P.C 'cause that render took half a day.

If I'm doing animation I'm gonna have to go back to space fighting or else I'm not going to have enough computer for work e.t.c.

Bummer

One thing I was wondering is, why isn't the racer on the left up front it looks a lot cooler:p

Just wondering which ship's Captain Falcon :p But I do agree that the cool ship looks too good to be 2nd place, lol.

This is a really cool image, and is clearly modelled well, but I fear it looks a bit plain with them simply passing through a tunnel. It might have been better to somehow show the winding track behind them... but then the car things would have to be elsewhere.... hmmm, this is a toughy.

I kinda had that problem with the thought zeipher, if I took out the fire to show the track behind, the hot effect wouldn't be there. And if I didn't then the track behind couldn't be seen. I think it's time for a bit more editing.

Fan rant time!

I put captian falcon up front and then the golden fox behind him cause the classic order is that, and then the one at the back was better than the Fire stingray. And me being a ---- accidently saved over the scene so I can't change it.

Ya, I used PPFX (Primal Particals FX) for the engine. I just set 1 emitter at each ring and made it so the particals emitted in just that 1 direction. Then i chose a good picture for the particals and colored it blue at the start and made it gradually get darker.

Well, the company that made it, Primitive Itch looks as if it is shut down now. However, on their website, primitiveitch.com, I think you can download it and a few other plugins for free! :) Theres PPFX, which creates non physical image based particals, and you can also download Primal Particals, which lets you generate masses of shards and physical objects :)
