Well, though I'm not a professional artist I do get quite a few requests online, and since I have no permanent job, I came up with this. Hopefully it's not taken:)

Nice work Brian but if that is your business card down there I would take the photo of yourself off of it. No need to advertise your 'youth'; let your work speak for itself.

From a jealously 'ageing' truespacer...;)

Hey I like your logo Brian - the vagabond guy is cool. I would be tempted to extend the pole over his shoulder so his swag bag is clear of his head - other than that he's just great.

Well done.

IMO The font doesn't help very much. It looks too flimsy and is hard to read. The vagabond is neat.

Yup I agree, no need to have your photo on a business card, The font doesn't work very well, script fonts tend to be hard to read sometimes due to the thin strokes and may not print very well, the Vagabond character is good and works in either b/w or color, Personally I think the green may be a bit much for my taste.

Thanks for the crits guys:) I have to agree with you guys on the font, so I changed it to something that fits the name somewhat better. I'm not old enough to legaly run a business, so anything I do is under the table, meaning they already know I'm fourteen:rolleyes:

Why does it remind me of Travellers trails. Not that it's bad.

I like the design concept. The robot vagabond is a nice image, but he occupies such a small part of the space it is difficult to see what he is at a first quick glance. This will be made doubly true when printed on a small business card.

I say zoom in/crop the image so he is a larger part of the card.

Another thing I would do is to stay away from funny/hard to read fonts. You want people to be able to be able to easily read your companies name. Funny/clever fonts tend to make that more difficult. Choose something simple and easy to read. Somthing like Impact or arial.

The direction the robot is walking tends to lead your eyes off the edge of the card, not downward to where your company name is. Since it is centered in the middle it's some what confusing on what direction it is walking as well. Place him to the left or right, facing the direction of the empty space so the viewer senses he has someplace to walk to.

Here is a mockup of your card with these suggestions in place:

P.S. I made the color of the company name match the color of the robot to tie together two visually seperate elements.

P.P.S. Nobody knows your age on the web - don't assume they do - let them know you through your work

I like your concept, Brian!

Looks like you are getting this ironed out into a nice logo. The main thing I would suggest, which was mentioned before, is to move the bag further away from the character's head so that the silhouette reads more clearly.

Then you may also want to adjust that other arm so that it isn't so close to the character's body.

That front knee looks a bit inverted also.

Hope this helps!
