Hi everyone! I registered here to invite you all to visit the page of an old Truespace user from Portugal, you can check some pictures made using Truespace version 1 through version 3.

I no longer do 3D, but still follow the beautiful art that is being made by everyone, and the enormous developments in the field.
Thanks,

Jorge,
There are some excellent renderings in there!! I especially like the car modeled in trueSpace 2 (and rendered in tS2 and 3). Well done, all of them! If you ever get back to doing some more, be sure to make the trip back here to post them!

rj, Thanks so much, I remember modelling that car involved a lot of Boolean operations. |

2 hours? No way, this consumes a lot of time.
Truespace is a goner, don't have it anymore.
Also my brain has been re-trained for other duties.
I'll watch you guys. |

Hay Jorge,
I had to reply to this one. I understand your situation completely! I studied and practiced art until in my mid twenties was side tracked into the technical world of electronics. The left side of my brain (or is it the right) went completely numb for nearly 15 years. My creativity went from the abstract to something rich in numbers and formulas. Add programming into the picture after about 1985 and my thought process became completely structured and logical.
... BUT ... I've had an animation project I've wanted to do since collage which led me to download tS 3.2 about 4 years ago. Guess what! It never goes away! The side of your brain that does the more abstract thinking will merely sleep while you push the other side. When you're ready, it may need a few gallons of coffee to get started again, but it will be there.
Maybe you will experience an advantage that some may never. By learning the workings of the computer you may have a better understanding of how tS is doing the things it does.
Good Luck!

Paul, I can't say I won't do 3d again, not now though, maybe in the future.
btw I think the left side is the logical one (or is it? )
Thanks! |

left hemisphere is for logical thought processes, etc.
right hemisphere is dedicated to abstract thought processes. |

right hemisphere is dedicated to abstract thought processes. You sure? my art teacher had us draw some pics upside down to get us using our "left brain" or would that be using logic:confused: |

This article suggests that the right side is the abstract side while the left side is the analitical (sp).
Interesting reading about studing and learning patterns of the 2 types of students.

I'm more concerned with what's between the two ears. Where it comes from is a nice conversation about Scientist or Artist. There is an argument here for genetics too, which I have become convinced exist.
For Jorge it's like riding a bike, you just get rusty. |
