Such a place is intended for human occupancy or use but has been closed off. The reason for sealing it is forgotten and not apparent. Here is my alley picture. Your comments are welcome. In this picture I have tried to create the impression of a closed space without explicitly showing that it is. There are also mysteries: Does the blocked door seal a space inside of the building or block access to the alley -- which space is closed? What was this place? When did people use use it? Feel free to post your pictures of closed spaces in this thread. Not that speed modeling doesn't have it's merits, but using those models in a creative scene has more depth and interest. I'm working on one now.
