I was hoping to have more this time around, but this one just took a bit longer than I thought. I just had to add one more thing, then one more thing, then readjust. hehehe
Ain't that always the way? But it paid off, because the scene looks really nice. I love the pillars. |

Thanks Morgan. I have several pillar styles all ready to use, and just figured that these worked best here. Light and airy. :D |

Just have to upload this one to the monthly modeling contest.
Can you find the special surprise I put in this final picture?

There's something extra reflected on the top right of the tool chest, left of the logo? Can't quite make out what it is - reflection of a car? Wasn't there on last version I looked at...
Well done on taking this so much further - I think it was worth all that extra effort as the finished result is very effective. |

close... there is something reflected... the shadow on the floor is a git indistinct too, but I promise that this one makes the picture more "alive". ;) |

Oh the man's legs REFLECTED in the tool chest. I thought this had turned into some horror image for a moment with the words "man's legs in the tool chest" :O

lol - it was a bit late when I wrote that, and I had only 3 hours of sleep that 24 hour period, so I seem to have forgotten a word there. :D |

You have every right to be proud in my opinion - you stuck at it and worked that picture I think the result is worthy of recognition. Clearly Roman does too. :D |

For this month, I did a still image of the animation I submitted and a 3D render of elements in the Costa Rica Flag.
The Flag render is per request of a Guard that works in my building. I'm sure that someone else could do better than I did.

This animation was actually inspired by Wicked Witch of the Web. Back in the speed model challenge she won with the matches, someone suggested an animation of the matches falling. That got me thinking about how something like that could be done, and I did some tests with pick-up-sticks... Not very nice.
Then with help from these forums, I took 3 of my favorite toys from when I was a youngster and made this purely physics animation. No key-framing used at all, just a script that someone wrote for me to keep the dominoes up until they were hit.

well.. this one is not "submitted" for Caligari. I made it to use in the HP forums I moderate.
Amazing what I learned on the organics modeling course. Now if they will only let the next two be made....

Wow, nice job. Glad to see we are not the only people that lose those little metal hooks that go in the tops of the ornaments :-) |

lol - and we try to keep them in a separate box. you ever try to grab an ornament and accidentally spear your finger on a fallen hook? ouch! |
