a slam bam movie

quickie mesh, rigged, added some IK, no weights, just rigged and ran with it, no thinking...

No planning on movie, just an after thought to do some kung fu with simpleman after seeing the Panda video.

Yeah it sucks, but it appears to be easier than it appears. At least from my perspective.

Model time to rigging to render movie to adding a background in Premier about 50 minutes. Of course, no edits, no take backs, just a quickie slam bam - looks it too - but hey.. ya know - it was there.

I got an error that invalid media data was found in the file, so could not view it. I'm sure it's pretty good though.

I liked it James .. wish I could do that ... maybe someday ^_^

@Dragneye (and anyone else who had trouble viewing)

I got error message too... if you are using Firefox... (as I am)

Click on Tools in top menu bar of the brower
Select Add-ons
Click the link (bottom right of that window): Get Extensions
From the Categories menu on the left of the page you reach, click: Plugins
Choose second option, Adobe Flash Player, and click: Download Now
On the Adobe Flash Player page, click: Agree and Install Now
You will then be required to close your browser (do so)
Follow the installation instructions...
Open Firefox browser again and navigate to Jamesmc's thread and click the flash link.
In the dialog box that opens, click: Open with (whatever is there)
you get error message? ok now, choose: Select program from list
and from the list select: Firefox
(if you don't want to have to go through this dialog box again next time... click "Always use the selected program...")
Click OK
View the Flash ..

Whew! however... next time will be easier ;)

NOTE: There are other ways to handle this problem .. e.g. I think Adobe Flash player or MacroMedia Flash player can play the flash animation if you right-click the link and download it first...

BUT.. if you like to be able to view a flash from your browser without this step.. then the plugin is the way to go.

HTH ^_^

Okay, cheesey fries, jalepenos and v-8 juice make you do weird crap! :D

Was bored, so got the idea of adding to the dojo quickies and made a fat bottomed ninja (I know, no reverence for the martial arts.) :)

Better yet, decided to bone and skin it and make it do its patented butt thrusting and split leg bottom slam...er something like that.

For irreverent viewing and general guffawing on unedited dojo quickies.

I present the fat bottom ninja... yeah baby, that's booty shaking in real time....

Thanks frog!

My motto of late is doing it quick, do it often and make it fun.

I figure the more times I do something, the more intuitive it will be.

The of course means a lot of practice with a lot of failures or should I state it otherwise as non-achieved goals. :)

Obviously, I didn't take the time to texture the ninja as that's a long process and didn't want to interrupt the work goal of animation.

It is UV'd with a funky sort of material though and I got lucky that the stretch shorts came out like it did.

Painted the little fellow so he wouldn't have to go through life plaid. :)

Might revisit with some more textures and actions later on...
