2much4U, I would not be so quick to dismiss religious themes.

I didn't say (type) what was in my previous message. That was a quote. I fixed it now, so you can see it better. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Jesus said "Love one another"

That's good enough for me.

It's not religion it's what the life force demands

I think I'm notorious for killing threads since it seems I'm always the last one to post, then it's never posted to again. Maybe I can kill this one....

Posting religious stuff's fine. Even if we look at it from a purely artistic sense, which I think most of us are trying to do. I mean about 115% of artwork during much of the time preceding the Rennaisance drew its inspiration from religion. Alot of it still does. Artistically speaking, I'm not sure what Leif was going for here, and I haven't seen too much of an explaination about it, so I'll take it at face value. The message matters in art, and it's clear what it is here. Leif believes that Jesus is the lord. It's not invasive, it's not an attack on anyone else's beliefs, it's just what he believes. And this is obviously how he chooses to express his belief. If you don't agree, then never mind the message, look at the art of it. I recognize that alot of you have made a valiant effort at doing so, and I think you're doing the right thing in that sense.

So let's relax. :D

I purchased TS to do 3D letters for video advertisements years ago.

Lately been trying to make virtual sets. (actors stand in front of green

screens and are added in post)

I would agree with most: the letters don't have punch. New font, beveled

edges, perhaps all the same color, glass or steel material. Light rays from

behind could help. The angle I assume is part of a motion title where the

letters were horizontal and moving to vertical?

I like the smoke at the lower part of image, I personally would have the

smoke blown away as the letters stand vertical so they can be seen

without any hinderance, perhaps light rays. (from death to life with magnificance)

Alrighty then...

Let's keep it simple.

This website (and I think the owners would agree) is abt trueSpace, it's usage, and the great ART/ANIMATION one can create with it. As a 'sidebar'... and anything that can be used with tS towards that goal.

More abt the hows and whys of art creation, than our personally treasured views. As 'creators', by nature and disposition, we are opinionated. That's Great in my book; we need more people that care abt this life, and its parts(better to have an opinion than to not care, IMHO)

The problem... Lief... is it 'seems' to many here, that you cared more abt sharing your beliefs with this piece, rather than your art. Correct me if I'm wrong.

All my work is abt creating a feeling, creating some thought, some questioning/understanding of life, so I am NOT saying hide your beliefs...

all I'm saying is... Keep it simple and on target. This wonderful community is about... the ART OF... not the belief of...
