Alright Stienie is in da house! Very Nice!
This is my entry for the Dream House Challenge. All comments are welcome.
Can you find all the creators?
Serpent = Yes
Rat = Yes
Werewolf = Not sure if it is Devil or Werewolf
Baboon = I think dead center
Deer = Antlers/Tree
The Lady = Nope
The Snail Foot = I think so.
Devil = Same as Werewolf
Jack = Yes
The Cookie (not a creator but get em while their Hot);)
How about some close ups of the areas you would like to show detail?
I would also like to see a starry night background.

Wow very cool piece Steinie! It has an almost evil collage feel with lots of atmosphere. :jumpy:

I knew you wouldn't let me down Bob. Really great image. One question... What happen to the star background that is in the WIP image? I prefered that one much more.

Beautiful color combination and so much to see, great work, Steinie. If anything, I can imagine that a gradient in the background from your purple in the bottom to darker tints in the top, with stars as Madmouse suggested would even enhance the atmosphere.

I changed the Art to show the Stars which was not in the original concept but looks a heck of a lot better!
I hope TrueBlue, Madmouse and Georg are happy now. My family gave it two thumbs up.

Very cool steinie. Takes a minute to adjust to the illustrative feel of it, at least for me, not your usual type of 3d image. very unique. I think this is quite successful.

I like this version very much.. the background gradient and stars are a wonderful backdrop to this scene. Somehow, its more mystical/magical/mysterious than the darker background. \m/ !!

i still haven't worked out every detail you mention, but I can only look for a bit at a time.. I may want to stand on my head or turn my monitor over also ;)

Final render looks great Steinie! I'm liking the atmosphere and the sky does give it a surreal feeling as well. I like how everything looks intertwined and organic.

Awesome job, love the way it's come out. I certainly can't find all your 'creatures' but never assumed I'd be able to decipher everything - I never can!

Unmistakably a 'Steine' piece - the way you work 3d objects into such a 'painterly' (for want of a better word) final result is fascinating and puzzling at the same time! Thanks for sharing some of the tricks you employed along the way.

It has become beautiful and I fully agree with your family, two thumbs up!!

I also enjoyed your "the making of" thread, seeing the creative process come along is very instructive.

Oh very clever! If I may offer a crit, I still think the background is a little too bright/light, perhaps find some way of making the scene seem more integrated into the background? Not a clue how though, you're the artist, you figure it out :P

I guess I'm going to have to get volumetric/atmosphere shaders into dribble for all the spooky pictures this month, eh? ;)

Wow - so imaginative! Great work - so detailed and so well put together. This is one *very* spooky house...

...and, I had a fittingly spooky moment just now. The exact moment I loaded this thread the band on the radio started singing, over and over, "I have built a treehouse, I have built a treehouse..." I kid you not! Stop it being so weird, stop it! :p

OK, one more Story about this render that is 100% true and I cannot figure out.

I had a WIP going for this Challenge and posted updates occasionally. After modeling and texturing I would render out a lot of test. I had all my folders in one Directory... Models, Textures, Renders everything. It was a late night and I updated the WIP with a couple cool examples and went to bed.

The next day I start up the computer and everything that had to do with this Subject is gone! I did searches on all drives using the names I KNOW I had used. NOTHING. The only remains I could find were two icons that no longer pointed to anything. My heart sank.

A couple years ago I had seen a very little program called "Restoration" and saved it to DVD. Using Restoration I brought everything back to life! Somehow it had been deleted, but it wasn't me! My kids have their own computer so it wasn't them. Creepy but true.

( I still see shapes in this Render I did not plan...)

LOL Prodigy.. you're so funny..

Beethoven's 5th will do nicely,:)
but what I was trying to convey with "doo-doo-doo-doo" was this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzlG28B-R8Y

and in view of strangely missing files and what you've done to Roman's head.. it is quite appropriate! :D
